Holiday House Tour

I joined friends on a lovely sunny afternoon for the Holiday House Tour December 4th.

I snapped the most images at the first home. The rest were simply too crowded although I did manage a few images of things that caught my eye. Enjoy!

This home utilizes a vintage tool table as an island. The kitchen is petite with one set of stairs entering next to the stove wall. That hammered copper sink was dreamy! This grouping of ornaments added a lovely touch in the butlers pantry.

This center hall colonial was filled with modern flair.

This 1900 gem was filled with magnificent details - from the amazing wallpaper in the vestibule and in the hall. Look at the magnificent mantel. It had a fun modern feel to the diningroom. I heard a movie was filmed there and will be released in 2024.

We visited two historic homes.

  • President Grover Cleveland Birthplace.

  • Zenas Crane Homestead

The Crane family were early founding fathers of the area.

Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely dinner at my friend Carmen’s restaurant Xunta. If you’re in Northern New Jersey or even if you’re not - for the most authentic Spanish Tapas delicacies anywhere! Grab a bottle of wine and go!

Nothing I like better than finding an event that enables me to spend time with loved ones with the promise of a meal. In June I enjoyed a garden tour, In October it was a local history crawl that started at the Grover Cleveland Birthplace.

As I mentioned in my Gift Guide - events like these are gifts of time together.

Til next time - be well and I’ll see you over on Instagram.
